For better or for worse, I live my life in two time frames--Before Deadline and After Deadline. Sort of sad but true. And it's always at this time, a few days before the book absolutely has to be off of my desk and on my editor's, that I start running the mental AD list. Finish reading and scoring RITA books. Re-connect with friends and family. Balance my check book. (It never happens, but I like to pretend I'm going to when I have time 
) Haul boxes of donation books to library. Take dogs in for shots and grooming. Volunteer at my daughter's school. Work on workshop presentations.
