08/19/2005: "Good News"

Yay! My mom's surgery went well and she's looking, feeling, and progressing much better than I ever anticipated. Thanks so much to everyone who sent a healing thought her way. And the family seems to have settled down back home. As Barbara commented on my previous blog, it's good for The Girl to realize what all her mom does and it's not a bad thing for my husband to get a feel for it as well. shocked

I've worked a bit on the next book, the anthology. My galley's for the January book are at home waiting on me, but aren't due back til mid-September. I'm trying not to hyperventilate when I think about the fact that I should have gotten more work done than I did this week. Perpetually behind. I think it's my lot in life. confused

Jen, so glad to hear that your mom seems to have come through with flying colors! Will continue to keep you and yours in my prayers.

As for work, I'm right there with ya, babe. Should have gotten *a lot* more done, but am planning on making up for it this weekend.

Glad to hear that hubby and daughter are muddling through. It *is* good for them to see how much you do.

Hugs,
Rhonda

"Some men admit they avoid confrontation (about breaking up) because they’re afraid we’ll cry. Of course we’ll cry; we cry at Hallmark commercials. What they don’t understand is that we’re not crying because of them, we’re crying because now we have to get naked in front of someone else.”
