02/16/2006: "Stuff"
I'll be spending the majority of my day reviewing my line edits for the time travel--probably the least taxing but most boring aspect of turning out a book. This is my last-ditch chance to say yay or nay to any changes the line editor has made regarding flow, word choice, syntax, etc. Also need to tweak that last proposal and resubmit.
Very excited to get an email from a cousin this morning. She's going to be in the city and we'll get together one day. It'll be lovely to see her and catch up. I'm not the greatest at keeping in touch with others. I'm usually amenable to visits and hearing from others, just tend to drop the ball at staying in touch. I'm glad she contacted me.
Here's a link to artist Chris Hauck's latest work. I think it's really fabulous. Love the work and the conceptualization behind it. Unfortunately I'm out of town on Saturday evening or I'd be there for the opening. http://www.christopherhauck.com/identity_crisis.htm Ran yesterday for the first time in over a month--just didn't think I could count on that sleeping off the pounds business. Thought it would be dismal but apparently kick-boxing with its squats and jumping jacks and jump roping is serving me well. 2.6 miles and I could've pushed further (or is it farther--always get those two confused) but my left knee started gimping on me. Got to work on that knee cause the 5K Hunger Run is coming up in March ...yeah, that's soon.

"Some men admit they avoid confrontation (about breaking up) because they’re afraid we’ll cry. Of course we’ll cry; we cry at Hallmark commercials. What they don’t understand is that we’re not crying because of them, we’re crying because now we have to get naked in front of someone else.” -Cindy Chupack, TV writer
