Andrea, I don’t seem to have an inbetween. Actually, I talk the ears off of people I know, but I’m usually very shy with strangers and/or afraid of saying something stupid or inappropriate so I usually don’t say anything at all. And yes, it’s often interpreted as me being arrogant or aloof, which isn’t the case at all. It’s usually that I don’t know what to say, so I don’t say anything.

I’m so afraid of babbling that I usually just stand there silently watching them. It usually translates that I’m too good to talk to someone, I’m angry, or disinterested. Works the same way in bars. It’s a wonder I ever got a boyfriend.
